Not just the cricket fan-world but everyone else has been waiting for a final validation on the match status for India vs Pakistan World Cup– 2019. After the recent heat-up between both countries, there has been a lot of talks floating worldwide on this game’s prophecies especially after the horrible Pulwama terror attack incident in which 40 Central Reserve Police Force officers were killed in India.
The Indian team had taken special permission from ICC to wear camouflage caps during the 3rd ODI against Australia, the India cricket team sported in Military caps and also donated the match fee to the National Defense Fund of India as their tribute to the soldiers who died in the Pulwama terror attack.
Pakistan on the other side had written a strong letter to the ICC asking them to take an action against India for wearing the caps however Chief Executive Officer of ICC, cleared the claim by informing the Pakistan Cricket Board that BCCI had taken permission from ICC for wearing camouflage caps and also added that there were no politics involved in this decision or action.
Though, the ICC board has declared that they would Definity be playing in World Cup-2019 as both the teams are bound together to play by agreement.
India has to play a group match with Pakistan and in the event of India denying the match the points would be given to Pakistan as per the ICC board and the match would be on June 16th, 2019 in Manchester.
Nevertheless, India has been revolting against the match, there were a lot of petitions sent to boycott Pakistan, basis which the supreme court of India had appointed a committee of administrators who wrote to the ICC board urging them to boycott countries from the World Cup 2019 from where terrorism originates.
However, the Chief Executive Officer, Dave Richardson has made it clear that the teams would have to play basis the agreement signed and also quoted “The ICC’s motto is clear. We don’t want to mix politics with sports,”
